Our doors may be (temporarily) closed, but we're always open to delivering amazing arts and cultural experiences at Bunjil Place. That's why we've created #ArtsInIsolation, an online digital project that's set to serve amazing arts experiences straight to your home. Explore our latest exhibition in the Gallery, enjoy a special stage performance with the family, or learn something new in our online workshops and art activities.

Bailey's Art Club: Spooky Houses
Bailey's Art Club is a place for children and families to be creative and share creativity. This week we're asking our little ghouls and goblins to design a spook-tacular house for Halloween! We'd love to see what you create, so send us a photo of your work and we will feature it in Bailey's special Art Club Video Wrap-Up!
wednesday workshop: Smartphone Photography
Learn how to master your smartphone camera and take amazing photos in and around your home. Photography expert Chris Bowes (@chrisbowesphotos on Insta) shows us the best techniques to accurately expose and focus with your phone's camera and walk you through how to make your images pop using a simple editing app. Forget buying a fancy pro camera - you'll be taking amazing photos with your smartphone in no time!

Funk Buddies
We asked the artists - and creative types - that have performed at Bunjil Place to create a Spotify playlist that inspires their work - past, present and future. First up is The Funk Buddies, an 8 piece New Orleans style instrumental street funk band from Melbourne that were one of the feature acts of Summer Sounds 2019 in the Plaza.
Yomeciland Finger Puppets
Remember Yomeciland? It was a digital art installation we had in the Studio that explored how we can create wacky and wonderful virtual creatures with the sounds of our voices. Artists Uyen Nguyen and Matthew Riley have created two cute finger puppets that you can make at home, all you need to do is cut them out of the template and glue them together!
Vera MÖller: A Thousand Tides - Virtual Exhibition
Remember this great exhibition from Vera Möller? Well as most of us can't exactly take a trip to the seaside lately, we have this exhibition to view virtually from your own couch.
A Thousand Tides bring into focus the extraordinary under water habitats and marine life of Western Port.

Draw A FUZZY FRIEND
Illustrator Kat Chadwick created a handy set of instructions, especially for kids, on how to draw your own fuzzy friend. Follow along with Kat's instructions and create your own fuzzy friend. What name will you give your friend? What outfit might they be wearing?
Recycled Robots
Want to become an inventor? Come and make your own Robot friend based on rescued materials, with puppeteer Jenny Ellis of Little Wing Puppets.
Buttons, bottle-tops, cardboard rolls - anything in your recycling bin can be the starting point for your creation!

Scrunch, rip, twist, tear…. Watch your page leap to life and onto the stage! Join Little Wing Puppets for this online workshop and create an exciting new creature from everyday materials you have at home.
Mountain Goat Mountain
The Arts Centre Melbourne, brings you Mountain Goat Mountain, a magical place where strange and wonderful happenings often take place.
Step into an imaginary world and create your very own theatre experience. In this interactive journey, families will be guided with audio through a series of playful activities before being carried along through an immersive soundscape.

Introduction to Shadow Puppetry
Come and explore the world of shadow puppetry with puppeteer, Jenny Ellis. This hands-on workshop will give children a range of skills to make their own puppets and shadow screen, brought to you by Little Wing Puppets.

Scratch Coding Competition
Scratch is a free, easy-to-use coding platform that anyone can learn. This school holidays why not give it a go? We are hosting a game competition open to ages 5-17 for entries with a Bunjil Place theme. You could win a $100 gift voucher, plus have your game featured on our website! Arts agitators ezine
As part of this year's Emerging Writer's Festival, a collective of young artists from Melbourne's South-East have produced an Ezine that explores what it means to them to ‘agitate’. Be transported to their worlds and beyond.

The Australian Ballet: Dance With Wilay
Join Wilay to learn a health and wellbeing dance to make you feel good! Wilay is a character from the Australian Ballet's performance Wilaygu Ngayinybula/Possum's two minds choreographed by Ella Havelka. Wilay means possum in Wiradjuri language. His work explores a range of topics, from queerness and masculinity, to Black femininity and the family photograph—but ultimately, he is interested in creating a record of his life and community. Meet the self-taught image maker, whose high-contrast and intimate photographs have appeared in GQ, ESPN’s “Body” issue, and on the cover of Rolling Stone, among others. Her work focuses on the strength and vulnerability of the male form, and she has sought to bring visibility and opportunities to models and subjects who represent a broad range of skin tones. Wednesday Workshop: Still Life Drawing with Minna Gilligan
In this week's Wednesday Workshop, Melbourne artist Minna Gilligan returns to take you through a couple of drawing exercises using a still life composed of items from around your house. “Two things that inspired me within my work...have been my family and my family legacy,” explains fashion photographer Micaiah Carter, whose central inspiration comes from his father, a retired Air Force Sergeant who came of age in the ‘70s, a period defined by the “Black is Beautiful” movement and disco. Join artist Kenny Pittock to transform your average shopping list into a hand-drawn masterpiece.
