MEET YOUR DJ: YAY
DJ YAY is a Melbourne-based DJ with over 15 years of experience, renowned for his dynamic performances and versatility across multiple genres. Specialising in open format, YAY seamlessly blends pop, top40s, R&B, hip hop, trap, twerk, Jersey club, dance, electronic, chill hop, commercial EDM, and all kinds of classics, mixing sets that resonate with all types of audiences.
A seasoned competition battle DJ, club DJ, and online livestream DJ, YAY has performed at various venues across Melbourne and has also brought his talents to stages in Brisbane and Yokohama, Japan. His impressive track record includes earning 2nd place in the 2020 Phase DJ Games World Championship and securing 2nd place in the Australian wild card division of the Your Shot DJ Competition. He has been a top contender in several high-profile DJ battles, including the Red Bull 3Style World DJ Championships and the QSC x Rock & Soul online DJ battle, where he was a top 5 world finalist.
YAY's expertise has seen him share the stage with major celebrities such as Bruno Mars, Tinashe, ASAP Ferg, French Montana, and Rae Sremmurd among others. With residencies at Glamp Cocktail Bar and District 1&2 Nightclub at Love Machine, YAY has established himself as a staple in Melbourne’s nightlife scene.
