Children are invited to join dancer and educator Adrianne after school for a dance workshop, exploring connection to place through movement.
Participants will be guided through a series of movement activities inspired by her work in Bunjil Place Gallery’s latest exhibition ngaratya (together, us group, all in it together).
The workshop is presented in an open and engaging environment, no dance experience is necessary. Suitable for children aged 8 – 12 years. Parent/guardian supervision required.

Adrianne Semmens
Adrianne Semmens is a dance practitioner and descendant of the Barkandji people of NSW. Her work is centred in stories of place and is shared through live performance, screendance and within gallery spaces.
Adrianne’s choreographic works include Immerse, commissioned by Australian Dance Theatre, Thread and short dance film Underfoot. Adrianne has also enjoyed recent opportunities to perform with Tjarutja Dance Theatre Collective, led by Gina Rings and share her collaborative work with Jennifer Eadie in their 2022 exhibition Unravel at The Mill.
Adrianne is passionate about youth and community programs and is the Learning Manager for Australian Dance Theatre. She has worked with The Australian Ballet as a Dance Presenter for their Education Ensemble and co-founded the First Nations Choreographic Lab in 2021.
