Immerse yourself in the future of art and design from our local region. Be witness to the next wave of artists, designers, makers and photographers at Emergent 2022: Graduate Showcase, an exhibition celebrating contemporary art and design by graduating VCE and VET students.
Bringing together 20 artists across a range of media, Emergent 2022 sees each artist use their unique style to explore relationships with oneself and others. Experiences of dysphoria and connections to the natural world are also prominent themes in this year’s exhibition.
Emergent 2022: Graduate Showcase was co-curated by four local year 11 students; Neomi de Sielvie, Fountain Gate Secondary College; Sian Fraser, St Peter’s College; Aneesah Shamim, Hampton Park Secondary College and Myfanwy Vanstan, Berwick Secondary College.

For the first time, Emergent has expanded to include a performing arts category. Students have been selected by a peer and industry panel to perform a celebration showcase.
