Embark on a creative journey with us at our upcoming Maori poi making workshop, where tradition meets artistry.

Poi, a cherished performance art of the Maori people, involves the rhythmic swinging of tethered weights, embodying deep cultural significance and rich storytelling.

In this workshop, you will not only learn the intricate craft of making your own poi but also delve into the essence of this expressive art form that celebrates identity and community.

Crafting poi is a transformative experience that enhances coordination, flexibility, and strength, allowing participants to connect with the beauty and grace inherent in this tradition. As you create your poi, you will discover how this art has transcended its origins, inspiring diverse forms of dance and performance around the world. Join us in celebrating the vibrant heritage of Maori culture and unleash your creativity in a supportive and inspiring environment. Let’s weave together stories, movement, and connection through the art of poi!
