The Victorian State Ballet (VSB) is delighted to present their unique production of Sleeping Beauty in March 2024.
First presented in 1890 by the Imperial Ballet at the Mariinsky Theatre in St Petersburg, VSB's production of Sleeping Beauty will bring a fresh take on the classic performance while staying true to the original storyline.
Re-mastered choreography by VSB director Michelle Sierra and a unique music score will be coupled together with traditional choreography in selected scenes to create a truly unique ballet experience.
Highlights of this production will include the famous Grand Pas de Deuxs, Florestan Pas de Trois, traditional solos, Rose Adagio, Blue Bird, Puss in Boots & White Cat, Red Riding Hood & the Wolf, and the Lilac Fairy.
Featuring a selection of highly skilled artists, audiences can also expect to enjoy female and male solo variations of Marius Petipa's original choreography and stunning corps de ballet scenes.
