Morris Gleitzman grew up in England and came to Australia when he was 16. After university he worked for ten years as a screenwriter. Then he had a wonderful experience. He wrote a novel for young people. Now, after 41 books, he’s one of Australia’s most popular authors. He was appointed the Australian Children’s Laureate for 2018–2019.
Adele Walsh has devoted over a decade to being an advocate for youth literature. She is well-known as the Program Coordinator for the Centre for Youth Literature, and has crafted learning and literacy programs for teens. She is the Community Outreach and Engagement Coordinator at La Trobe University Library and co-hosts the What Would Danbury Do? Podcast.
