Spoken Word & Poetry Workshop

Aimed at youths aged 12-25 this workshop aims to celebrate culture and community by empowering young artists and giving them the tools to further develop their skills. 

Participants will also have the opportunity to perform at the Harmony Day event on Sunday 21 March at Bunjil Place.

About Ren
Ren Alessandra is in her age of expansion. After a whirlwind year performing online both interstate and internationally, she won the 2020 Australian Poetry Slam Championship. As both teacher and poet, her life's work centres in the transformative power of poetry, the importance of speaking up and the ripple effect of story. Her passions have manifested into Wordcraft, where she works with writers to overcome their blocks and complete their manuscripts while also facilitating spoken word events, workshops and many more creations to come. Her poetry explores her relationship with her body and her femininity and love in all its colours. Join her journey at @renalessandrapoetry.
