Are you a budding filmmaker? Have you made some DIY short films or are you just super keen to have a go?! 

In this school holiday program for young people aged 15 - 18 years old, we take participants through a comprehensive introduction to the craft of filmmaking and visual storytelling. We will take you through each stage of production day by day; Development, Pre production, Post-Production and final Screening. Participants will have access to DSLR and Broadcast cameras, as well as studio lighting, green screen and professional editing software.

DAY 1: Development 
An introduction to different types of media, different genres, and storytelling conventions. Followed by beginning developing our ideas I scripts for the micro film(s) we will be making. Planning our films for shooting DAY 2. 

DAY 2: Pre-Production 
Planning our storyboards, schedules, shot lists, locations, actors, crew, props, costumes, and all of the other in between coordination to shoot our films. Each student will be assigned a role in the team to complete production. This day will focus on learning the necessary steps to complete before shooting to make sure everything goes to plan. 

DAY 3: Production 
We will be splitting off into our team to shoot our films and capture all of the necessary audio to communicate our story. Roles can be shared to ensure all students get to work with the equipment and learn the skills.

DAY 4: Post-Production 
Editing using Adobe Premiere Pro and/or CapCut. Going through the process of sound designing, applying music, colour grading / colour correction and designing credits and titles. This process will expose students to Non-Linear editing techniques, and through the necessary steps for all video post production. 

DAY 5: Distribution / Screening 
The final day will be used to complete any necessary editing, as well as designing posters and marketing materials to advertise the screening of the work at the end of the day. Friends and family will be invited to Bunjil Place to enjoy the students work together.

Please bring your own Lunch. The Bunjil Place Café will be open if you wish to purchase food or drinks.

Tickets

Tickets $25.00 for the full 5 days. This workshop is for young people aged 15 - 18.
