Halloween Films: Double the trouble

This year for Halloween Bunjil Place presents to you, not one but two Halloween films! For smaller kids the narrated classic tale Room on the Broom (G), and for the slightly bigger kids Coraline (PG).

Room on the Broom

Room on the Broom is about a kind witch who invites some unexpected animals to join her on her broom, much to the frustration of her cat.  Just as she is about to be eaten by a fearsome dragon, the witch is saved by the gang of animals, all working together.  The cat learns the importance of friends & family, and the witch rewards her new friends with a magnificent broom for everyone!

Coraline

While exploring her new home, a girl named Coraline (Dakota Fanning) discovers a secret door, behind which lies an alternate world that closely mirrors her own but, in many ways, is better. She rejoices in her discovery, until Other Mother (Teri Hatcher) and the rest of her parallel family try to keep her there forever. Coraline must use all her resources and bravery to make it back to her own family and life.
