Asia TOPA OPENING AT BUNJIL PLACE

Bunjil Place is excited to partner with our friends at Asia TOPA, Australia’s major triennial of Asia- Pacific performance, to bring a range of experiences to Bunjil Place audiences.

Every three years, Asia TOPA brings the best of Asia-Pacific arts, culture and ideas to Melbourne for a three-week-long celebration that spotlights our diverse and dynamic region. 

Join us to celebrate the opening of the Bunjil Place x Asia TOPA program with a free opening party featuring food, performances, making activities and music specially curated by Bunjil Place. This family-friendly event also showcases major new performance commission Bunyi Bunyi Bumi by raymond d. blanco, Dr Priya Srinivasan, Waangenga Blanco, Alfira O'Sullivan, Murtala and Tyrel Dulvarie and the Pacific Sisters’ legendary Freestyle Frock Action catwalk. Come dressed to impress and bring your strut! Celebrate with First Nations, Indonesian, Indian and Pasifika performers and indulge in tasty cuisine from the Asia-Pacific!

Our Gallery will offer extended hours to enjoy the Pacific Sisters’ captivating exhibition FROCK A WHANAUNGATANGA.

Dress Code: Island party Frockage or join the queue in good time to be styled-up by the Sisters! 

This event is FREE.
