My Favourite Cake
Saturday 22 March, 7.00pm
This tender and funny yet politically daring, this double-Berlinale-winning late-life romance is guaranteed to steal your heart. My Favourite Cake is warm, charming and incisive in its depiction of older women’s inner lives, set against the backdrop of a country with strict rules and restrictions, especially when it comes to the rights and freedoms of women. Beautifully delicate and nuanced, My Favourite Cake explores themes of love, regret and second chances.
