Artist Tāne Te Manu returns to Bunjil Place with a very special adornment-making workshop for families. During this drop-in workshop, children and families can spend time creating their own adornment, inspired by the fashion on display in FROCK A WHANAUNGATANGA. Celebrate the closing weekend of the exhibition and spend some time being creative at Bunjil Place Gallery. 

 

About your teaching artist Tāne Te Manu McRoberts

Te Whānau ā Apanui, Ngāti Pikiao, Ngāti Mākino, Tūhourangi, Ngāti Whakaue, Ngāti Rangitihi, Ngāti Kahungunu.

 

Tāne Te Manu is a multidisciplinary artist, kaiwhatu (weaver), digital artist, and Poi exponent. His work is a reflection of his rich ancestral heritage, blending traditional craftsmanship and design into both traditional and contemporary forms, all crafted from a mix of natural and contemporary materials.
