About your guide David Duncan
David Duncan is an Accounting/Financial Professional with dual Australian/Canadian citizenship who arrived in Australia from North America in 1996. In his early years in Australia, he and his wife Shari developed a passionate interest and appreciation for native wildlife via volunteer activities with Wildlife Victoria. Post the millennium drought (2009), he decided to create a "Whisper Garden" on his property in Cranbourne adjacent to the Royal Botanic Gardens to create a wildlife corridor and provide much needed food and shelter for local wildlife, particularly the Southern Brown bandicoot. The garden has subsequently been featured on the popular ABC “Gardening Australia” show.
David retired from the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne in 2018 after six years working as a Bushland Ranger and tour guide in the Australian Gardens.
