Construction continues: rain, hail or shine

Concrete pouring has continued with slabs for the gallery, underground car park, ground floor of the library and the fly-tower (part of the theatre complex) now complete.

Next up we’ll be pouring the studio slab, first level of the theatre seating and first suspended slab, including the function centre, kitchen and part of the City of Casey Customer Service Centre.

Work is also being undertaken to prepare for the below ground substation and tank room slabs and the first of the pre-cast panels for the fly tower are being installed.

While a lot is taking place on the site, there’s plenty going on behind the scenes. Project builder Brookfield Multiplex is sourcing and coordinating off-site fabrication of products needed throughout the build, including the intricate timber grid-shell which will feature in the foyer.
