Art Agitator showcased in Digital Writers Festival
This years Digital Writer's Festival runs Tuesday 29 October to Saturday 2 November and features our very own Art Agitator Julien Macandili. Julien's digital artwork 'Freedom Skybox' allows writers to share words and messages with each other in a virtual 'sky box', and we're looking for public contributions from you - our Bunjil Place crew!
Taking part is simple. Just visit the site and click on the screen to add your words of wisdom! Your message will be encased in a colourful 'blob' that others around the globe can read and be inspired by. Amazing right?!

The Digital Writers’ Festival is an online writers’ festival dedicated to celebrating the work of writers from Australia and across the world. The festival aims to foster new relationships through collaboration between writers, where ever they may be. Everything takes place online, so location is no barrier to access – all you need is an internet connection.
DWF is a product of the Emerging Writers’ Festival, a not-for-profit organisation whose foundations are built on supporting emerging writers. EWF is a place where creativity and innovation are celebrated, where new talent is nurtured and where diverse voices from across Australia are represented.
Arts Agitators
Arts Agitators is a youth-arts collective program that provides opportunities for young artists of all disciplines aged 15–25 to connect, learn and create, while developing and delivering original art programs and events at Bunjil Place - the arts and cultural precinct of the City of Casey in the suburb of Narre Warren.
The creation of Arts Agitators as a youth engagement program stemmed from a conversation with local young artists who were looking for opportunities to present their work and meet other local young creatives. The program has a core collective of 12-15 engaged young people who are the drivers and decision makers of the program. These young people sit at the heart of the program and determine which creative and professional development opportunities are made available. They develop and deliver their own arts-based projects and events at Bunjil Place, and act as an advisory group on youth matters for the wider Bunjil Place Arts Programming team.
