Open House Melbourne

Open House Melbourne is a collection of tours, talks and events designed to give the community a deeper understanding of the shapes and buildings that make up our city. It gives everyday people exclusive access to architects, designers and planners and encourages all of us to uncover challenges and explore solutions.

This is the perfect way to explore your interests in building design and learn more about our multi-award winning facility.

You're the Voice

You're the Voice is a ground breaking new program created to raise awareness around family violence in the local community.

The project includes a series of workshops that culminate in this joyful concert. It hopes to inspire the most vulnerable Victorians to stretch their minds and explore their creativity through the spirit of community singing. It promises that audiences will be left empowered and inspired by the courage of the performers.

Presented by Voices of Casey, City of Casey and the RSL Dandenong/Cranbourne Sub-Branch.

Watch this space for our full line up of designers.

Prize Fighter

Isa is a young Congolese boxer blazing an impressive career between the ropes. Gearing up for the national title fight, he soon discovers it’s not just his opponents he has to outdo, but the demons from his tortuous past as a boy soldier.

Fleeing the Congo as a child, playwright Future D. Fidel lived in a Tanzanian refugee camp for eight years before being granted refugee status in Australia. Prize Fighter is inspired by his own story and those of the people he has known along the way.

Viva La Fiesta

Due to some serious wet & windy Melbourne weather this weekend, the Sunday session for Viva La Fiesta has been cancelled. The free family movie will still go ahead at 10.30 am, but unfortunately the food trucks & bar & all other activities have been cancelled.

Hell Ship: The Journey of the Ticonderoga

In 1852, the emigrant vessel Ticonderoga limped into Port Phillip Bay after a nightmare voyage from England in which a quarter of nearly 800 passengers and crew had died from typhus. As its victims – Scottish families seeking a new life - were buried hastily at sea, schools of sharks, it was said, followed the stricken vessel all the way across the Indian Ocean.
