Punctum's Public Cooling House

Punctum's Public Cooling House takes big questions surrounding our ‘water future’ and turns them into a reflective cooling experience. Enjoy a unique dry-country approach to a chillout, as we mirror bathing rituals and cooling practices from around the world. You will have your hands and feet cleansed and cooled before being led to an individual pool where different traditional bathing practices are explained.

Presented as part of the ART+CLIMATE=CHANGE Festival, Punctum’s Public Cooling House invites you to experience the Public Cooling House where drifts of river soundscapes and recorded stories of culturally diverse connections to water fill the ‘House’ and flow around our ‘projection pool’ while the cooling practices play out.
