Wednesday Night Workshop: Brass & Copper Wall Hanging

Spend two hours learning metal-smithing techniques, like cutting, stamping, hammering and polishing, and then using those skills to create a one-off, original brass or copper wall hanging.

Our teaching artist will help you plan and complete your design and take you through the basics of all the metals used - including what makes them unique. We will use brass, copper and chain as well as typical tools such as metal stamps, hand polisher, files and metal snips.

This is an adults-only workshop. Materials and light refreshments provided.

About your teaching artist: Kat Relish

Kat is from a small beach town in New Zealand. She is the founder and maker at Kat Relish and has been creating metal pieces for the last 6 years in her home studio in Melbourne. She has a passion for creating unique one-off pieces and enjoys the process and watching ideas transform.
