Wednesday Night Workshop: Embroidery for Beginners

Whether you're a first time stitcher or just want to brush up your skills, this Wednesday Night Workshop is for you! Come and learn some basic embroidery and outline stitches as well as the stitches to use when you want to embroider words, lines and motifs.

We'll be covering:

• Back Stitch
• Chain Stitch
• Stem Stitch Straight
• Stem Stitch Curved
• Running Stitch

This is an adults only workshop. Materials and refreshments provided.

Presented as part of the Continental Shift: Contemporary Art and South Asia exhibition.

About your teaching artists:

Siblings Aaron and Aoife have been teaching embroidery classes for 5 years through Signal Arts, RMIT, Bunjil Place and Incinerator gallery and in their own studio Pink Ember Studio. Aaron is a Fine Art Graduate and Aoife is a Fashion Design Technology Graduate.
