Wednesday Night Workshop: Fantastic Spirits with Kate Beynon
Hours
Location
Let your creativity flow through the spirit of contemporary watercolour with acclaimed artist Kate Beynon. Various watercolour techniques will be explored, including colour mixing, metallic and pearlescent effects, to bring hybrid and fantastic figures to life.
Drawing inspiration from a range of imagery, such as mythical, animal and supernatural figures, botanical and auspicious symbols, you will combine figurative and abstract elements to create otherworldly works promoting ‘good spirits’. In a relaxed atmosphere, gain insight into the life and challenges of an established practising artist, accompanied by wine and Kate’s upbeat studio music playlist.
This is an adults only workshop. Materials and refreshments provided.
Presented as part of the Continental Shift: Contemporary Art and South Asia exhibition.
