Jump In: Free Hip Hop Session

Jump In is a free hip-hop event created by local emerging hip-hop artists designed to get local peeps fired up about hip-hop. Whether you're taking part in the workshops or just want to come down and check out the vibe, all are welcome.

Drop-in to our hip-hop workshops and finesse your rhythmic rhymes and test them out with our open mic session, before stepping into the cypher comp arena!

Robot Song

When eleven-year-old Juniper May receives a petition signed by her entire class stating that she is 'the most hated person in the school' her life is thrown into complete meltdown. After exhausting all other avenues her parents' resort to the only thing they have left, a giant singing robot.

Based on a true story, Robot Song illustrates how the transformative nature of creativity can merge with unconditional love to create an unstoppable force!

Melbourne Opera: Italian Opera Gala

Well known arias and ensembles Rossini’s Barber of Seville, Puccini’s Madam Butterfly, Tosca and La Boheme, Verdi's La Traviata, Nabucco and Rigoletto and Mascagni’s Cavelleria Rusticana will all feature in this highly entertaining evening presented by one of Australia’s most well known and acclaimed opera companies.

And of course everyones favourite Nessun dorma will finish off the evening!

 

Soweto Gospel Choir 2019

Coming in hot from Soweto (South West Township), a town outside of Johannesburg and home of Nelson Mandela and South Africa’s democratic movement,  the Soweto Gospel Choir are sure to inspire with a collection of songs which celebrate and commemorate South Africa’s democratic movements struggle for freedom.

Of This Earth: A culinary experience designed by Alex Perry and Carbon Arts

Inspired by the true story of writer Tony Brigg’s mother, The Sapphires follows the incredible journey of a singing group of four Yorta Yorta Women, who sing Motown soul hits against the backdrop of personal change and massive social upheaval. It is an energetic, fun and engaging play that affirms life and the realisation of dreams.

Blood on the Dance Floor

A choreographer, dancer and writer from the Narangga and Kaurna nations of South Australia, Jacob Boehme was diagnosed with HIV in 1998. In search of answers, he reached out to his ancestors.

You will be transfixed by the blend of theatre, image, text and choreography, as Boehme pays homage ancestral ceremonies whilst dissecting the politics of gay, Blak and poz identities.
