Tailored specifically to address components of VCE Units 1 - 4 Art Making and Exhibiting, VCE students can hear directly from Bunjil Place Gallery Curator and Registrar as they discuss all the elements involved in developing and installing an exhibition. 

The discussion will focus on the exhibition at Bunjil Place Gallery at time of booking and will include exhibition design, curation, conservation, art handling and installation. The session can be tailored to address the unit and area of study being covered in class.

These sessions can cover the following curriculum outcomes: 

  • Unit 2, Area of Study 1 - Understand – ideas, artworks and exhibition: How are thematic exhibitions planned and designed?
  • Unit 3, Area of Study 3 - Connect – curate, design and propose: How are artworks selected and presented for exhibition?
  • Unit 4, Area of Study 3 - Conserve – present and care: What role does conservation and care have in the presentation of artworks?


Sessions are free and run for approximately 75 minutes. Dates and times are arranged by negotiation between the school and Bunjil Place staff.
