Due to unforeseen circumstances this event has needed to be postponed. We’re committed to supporting spoken word in schools and providing opportunities for your students to showcase at Bunjil Place. Bunjil Place and City of Casey Youth Team have been running in-school poetry workshops for the last year with huge success. The Interschool Poetry Slam event is a culmination of young people exploring their creatively and literacy through spoken word. We are looking forward to seeing your students sign up and also participate as an audience member.
If you would like to register your interest we can notify you when the new date is confirmed. Please don’t hesitate to contact us at [email protected] or phone 03 9709 9700.
The Interschool Poetry Slam ran in conjunction with Bunjil Place and City of Casey Youth Services, are giving the opportunity for students to improve confidence and encourage young people to share in a safe space.
Entries are open to students in primary (grade 4 to grade 6) and secondary (Year 7-12), with an open group for poetry acts.
Enter yourself or your students to be in the chance to win cash prizes and the opportunity to have a spoken word feature and the winning piece filmed.
