Paper Flowers Workshop

Enjoy a 2-hour hands on making workshop, creating paper flowers for the upcoming Floribunda Gala at Bunjil Place. Learn tips and tricks to create your own paper flowers, whilst crafting flowers that will form a central part of a paper flower installation at the Floribunda Gala.

Join multidisciplinary visual artist Louise Seymour from Paperlab while she guides you through the luxurious world of bespoke paper blooms. With over 10 years experience bringing paper blooms to life for the likes of Gucci, burlesque performer Dita Von Teese and local icons Finucane & Smith the 2 hour Floribunda workshop with Louise will show you how to cut, shape and sculpt truly unique paper flowers using exquisite Italian crepe paper. Blooms created during these workshops will form part of a larger display for the Floribunda Gala event.

This workshop is suitable for ages 16+. No previous experience required. All materials provided.

About your teaching artist – Louise Seymour of Paperlab

Multidisciplinary visual artist Louise Seymour explores universal truths and mysteries through experimentation, creation and immersion. Forever inspired by her ultimate muse - Mother Nature - she looks toward the unseen to help her make sense of the world around her. Louise can often be found diving deep into the undergrowth looking at the micro world below or marvelling at the expanse of the natural world above. Through her art practice Louise explores the intersection of the sacred and science allowing the interconnected threads to resonate with the viewer and myceliate into a spark of curiosity. Utilising a range of materials and mediums Louise has created bespoke pieces for local and international brands such as the NGV, Finucane & Smith, Gucci and burlesque performer Dita Von Teese as well as performing as part of Hillscene Live 2024.
