Glow Wild

As the temperature drops and all the humans are tucked asleep in bed, the animals crawl out from their hiding spots to come alive in our Plaza! With lions and tigers and penguins (oh my!) and more, even David Attenborough himself would be in awe of these creatures. 

Glow Wild will turn our Plaza into a stunning jungle of over 45 illuminated animals from around the globe for just two weeks as winter settles in for the season.

Golden Guitar Winners, Multi CMAA Award Winners are one of the most awarded Independent Country Acts in Australia. These country music legends released their eighth album Better Day at the Tamworth Country Music Festival in 2017 and have had two chart topping singles from it including Stand Tall and World Full Of Angels.

This is the show's fourth Australian tour - and first ever stop here at our Theatre - and they're celebrating its 25th Anniversary. Well ain't that swell!

World Poetry Day

It’s not just for romantics – poetry can be pretty rad! This World Poetry Day event encourages you to get involved and explore different forms of poetry, with performances by artists including Luke Haralampou aka Luka Lesson, Benjamin Solah, Caitlin Saunders, James ‘The Captain’ Auld, Nick Grant-Collins, and more.

Curator Walk and Talk: Self-made

Monica Syrette is an independent curator and researcher. Monica attended the Canberra Institute of the Arts in the late 1980s when the city was a major centre for artists’ books in Australia. In the 1990s she worked at Sydney independent music retailer Waterfront Records, ordering zines from local and international makers and distributors. Monica was Archivist at the supported studio Arts Project Australia and Assistant Curator at the Grainger Museum, founded by composer and pianist Percy Grainger.

Bunjil Place Zine Fair

Zines are handmade, self-published collection of writings, drawings or photos and can be about anything from music to food to art to cats. They’re usually limited editions or even one-offs, so if you see something you like, buy it quick before someone else does!
